This board was just added so I'm going to start if off with a link to a text link advertising company that we have used recently => Text Link Ads. We only tried buying ads, but selling ads should work just as easily.

Text Links Ads are  usefull if your site is atleast a PR2 or under 1million in Alexa.
Else they will deny your application.

It doesn't sound great for a PR4 site though. Compare that with how much people will pay for sponsored posts from a PR4 site.

TLA is good but you could easily get banned from Google or lose your PR, happened to one of my sites before so now I sell no links, I only use AdSense.

Yeah thats one of the problems with TLA, google seems to dislike people using them as they can be fraudulent if you use them alongside adsense and the sort.

I suppose if your not too bothered about googles page rank then i would recomend using them, again, as someone mentioned above you really do need ranks for it to actually generate good income.

I never heard about google penalizing someone for using TLA.  I personally use TLA with great success.  Even if it does not help your Page Rank, if you choose a site properly, you should get quality traffic directly from them.

If you are worried about TLA and Google, just buy text links through forums.  Either way, buying text links, I feel, is essential.

Well Google does not punish all sites selling text links but the one selling links directly in their  site by writing get featured here or using textlinkads.com are heavily penalized from search engine. Also sponsored blogpost broker payperpost's users face same fate.

I've used Text Link Ads, and I find them to be pretty good.  I had a PR4 site that was earning around $70 a month (I've sold that site though).  My current site has an Alexa of 670,000 but no Page Rank, so they haven't accepted it yet sadly.

I really dug this site a lot and have heard nothing but incredible things about them.  Sadly I applied and got accepted and then got denied for whatever reason.  They wouldnt really give me an answer about it.  I believe you have to have a LARGE amount of traffic per month, which makes sense.  Thats why im not really hurt, it wasnt about my content which I probably would take personal, it was about the amount of traffic I was receiving, which isint a lot right now.  But its building up slowly.  In the future once my traffic goes up a bit more Ill def apply again and see if I cant get permanently accepted!

Good luck everyone.
