This morning around 9:00 AM we had a hardware failure on free hosting. We have spent all day investigating the issue and working on the server. All of our man power was placed into correcting the server today. We would like the apologize for this inconvenience and would like you to know that we are working on the issue at this time and will continue to work on the issue. We will report as soon as we have more information. Thank you.

Update: 2 November 2006 - 10:26:58 PM EST

Please keep in mind that we do not make backups of free hosting sites. This is your responsibility on free hosting. We've received many requests for restoring backups of free hosting users sites, that we don't have. Any and all information that we could recover has been recovered.

Some of the data is not recoverable.... the servers themselves should be up by the end of the day today if we get all of the new hardware on time.

Thank you Alex, FTP works again so does my site. But still, I am getting this error on every PHP page:

Warning: Unknown(): SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid/gid is 500/500 is not allowed to access /home/freehost/scripts/phpads.ad owned by uid/gid 0/0 in Unknown on line 0

Warning: Unknown(/home/freehost/scripts/phpads.ad): failed to open stream: Success in Unknown on line 0

Warning: (null)() [function.include]: Failed opening '/home/freehost/scripts/phpads.ad' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/ph

Guess there are some yet to be uploaded scripts, or some unset permissions. Smiley
