Paid hosting software has been upgraded from apache 1.3.x to the new 2.x branch. There should be no impact to websites or scripts. The new apache tree is slightly more secure and is now more optimized (so it should load quicker). We tried to carry over all the modules from the old apache (including imaging modules some of you use), but if we missed any, please let us know and we'll install them asap.

Hmm .. it shouldn't have done that.. what did it change permissions to? PHP5 will be rolled out once we finish verifying that ll member scripts will work. So far it looks like at least 30 members will have problems with PHP5 Sad

and I couldn't write some files from my admin panels. So I had to set permission with FTP.

No complaints. Can't wait for you roll out the PHP5 that opens up alot more options for the newer scripts that are out there for websites! grin

We tested PHP5 this weekend and it didn't work as planned so we rolled back 4.x. We're going to be doing some more testing and trying again in 2 weeks.

If you want to have SSL and use https you need to purchase an SSL certificate from a third-party vendor, and then upgrade to a dedicated/static ip address with us in order to use it. We were thinking about offering our own SSL certificates at one time, but it's very expensive to sell them and the margin's are very low. We would have to resell for one of the accredited SSL certificate providers and it turns out it's cheaper for the customers to just go direct to them. (Although it's still going to cost you around $99/year).
