Hello, I know that for some security reasons the server has to hide .htaccess file, i have recently rewritten my new .htaccess and I d like to replace the old one with it, but I still haven't managed to find the old .htaccess file even with the function "show hidden files" in my FTP program, so i can't make a deletion for the new one to take over. Could anyone help me out? THX  Sad

It doesn't just hide the files it doesn't allow them. They may be uploaded but they will not work. You can use dos ftp to delete .htaccess files if you need to. Goto start>run>ftp. You must know basic commands though. Or some of the online file managers will show them to you. There is no need to have them on the server though because they do not work.
