Hello

I have a simple PHP script I am trying to run. All it is for is to show the current song playing on my SHOUTcast DNAS server. The script does an fopen or an fsocket call to the server at my IP address (no one elses) and I cant seem to get it to work. I either get "allow_url_fopen is Disabled" or "the server is currently down on fsocket" are these functions enabled or not?

So then there is no way to access my shoutcast system from here. Well that sale just got lost! I'm trying to find a new home for my internet radio station since Geocities doesnt allow me to do simple PHP. I pay them for a premium account and they cant even provide PHP. Not about to pay another place to try and get a function only to find out I cant do what i need to do. So just remove my account as I will not be using it.

Yeah see thats what these other places told me too! And I went thru all their kack, they treated me like an idiot once they got my money. Talked to me like it was all my fault only to turn around and say "On No Now you have to pay for THIS level of access! Well fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, and fool me a third time I deserved it! But not a forth time! and this would be #4...so sorry charlie! I'd rather do without it! What would really be nice is to find out things like this ahead of time so no one wastes your time or theirs! I've spent 2 days and alot of money on one stinking little script. If I had the option of a better ISP than Adelphia in my area i'd use it. But since I dont, I have to look at webhosts outside my isp. And so far i've been bitterly dissapointed. I was refered to you by a friend cause he said you all support PHP. And you advertise all over the web that you do. Try a little honesty and tell people that certain functions are with or not with certain packages. Your doing the same thing your competition is saying "Hey we offer this...but not even in the fine print does it say "only if you spend this much!" So like I said, take off my account as I will not be using it. The loss of this sale was not because of my lack of due diligence. I've been burned before and have gotten no sense that the same wouldnt happen here! Especially now!
