Yeah, well i started this topic because of the pop-ups!

I'm not saying that T35 should get rid of the pop-ups, but T35 should think about changing the pop-ups to something else. Below are a list of reasons:

  • It gives me a VIRUS everytime a pop up comes up (I know, becuase i have an Antivirus Software.)
  • All pop-ups go to the TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES of your computer. (So basically the VIRUS stays there)
  • The pop-up is a scripted window, that's part of the same browser. (An example is here)

I think the ADS should come up in a different window, that's all. And I also think that you should make the pop-ups to where it does NOT give you a virus.

The VIRUS names are: HTML EXPLOIT, & JAVA EXPLOIT

Thank you for your time. smiley

(NOTE: I will add a picture of what happens, when it happens again)

The pop-ups load in a different window unless you have a pop-up blocker in which case it will load in a layered ad. As of few months ago.. we have very little control over the ads.. the entire industry has become very advertiser driven.. they provide the ads, they make it mandatory that the ad loads as layered upon pop-up block, etc.. All the changes you want will require fundumental changes in online advertising.. which won't happen in the near future.

As for the virus problem.. i would contact the anti-virus vendor for more info.. none of the ads have viruses.. they are hosted by falk which checks ads for viruses, spyware and several other things on an hourly basis.
