Hi,

I'm relatively new to t35.

I got an account with webspace setup for ej.t35.com

It all worked fine and i could login to the ftp server fine. [managed to upload a 'simple' webpage...]

Now when i try it comes up with the box for user details, which i enter and submit.
Then after a while of waiting, with the "flashlight" rolling about, [and it says something like "getting contents of directory" in the status bar] it eventually comes up with the error:

MsgBox Title:
<FTP Folder Error>

Msgbox Comment:
<An error occured opening that folder on the FTP Server. Make sure you have permission to access that folder

Details:
200 Type set to A
200 Port command successful
425 Unable to build data connection: Connection timed out>

Just has an OK button at the bottom.

I presume that this is just a problem with my computer not being able to get an FTP connection working??

I'm using:
XP Pro SP1 [NOT SP2]
IE 6.0.2800

I can view my webpage at http://ej.t35.com/

Thanks in advance

EJ

I was using IE which just wacks the ftp:// on the front anyway

I've tried smartftp despite my usual philosophy of installing as little as possible, and it worked ok once i got the hang of how to make it go...

Puzzling why it didn't work from IE though, maybe cos IE is rubbish, you never know...

Thanks for the suggestion,
EJ

IE was never meant to be an ftp client.. it allows you view ftp listings incase a link takes you to ftp, but it was never designed to provide any ftp features.
