I keep getting this message while using CuteFTP.
Quote
The remote host actively refused the attempt to connect to it.
1) Verify that the destination host name or IP address is correct.
2) Verify that the connection port number is correct (under Site Settings | Type tab).
3) The remote server may be temporarily or permanently inaccessible (try again later).
4) Verify that you have chosen the right protocol (SSH2, SSL, FTP, etc.) and have setup all required options for that protocol.

When will it work? This is very annoying. I have to update my site.

We have warned you WAY IN ADVANCE, Like 2 months. http://forums.t35.net/index.php?topic=596.0

We can open the FTP again but you’ll notice that after the update “your site will be hacked” or - The file(s) that you just uploaded will be gone. Due to the huge update.

Please always read the Important Announcements, As They are Important.

yes, we did.

May 10th Update - The upgrade is scheduled for May 16th. All accounts will be backed up at the end of the 15th

ftp was shut down according to the admin at 4am (thats what time he edited the post on the 15th). 4am is more like the end of the 14th, not 15th.

the only reason i was kinda annoyed by it, is because for 2 days prior to that, the ftp had been acting super flakey and i couldnt log in half the time, or it will randomly cut out on me while i was uploading stuff so i was hoping id actually get a chance yesterday to fix my site.

haha... well, ill be happy when i can actually sit down and be able to use the service, because for the last 3 days or so stright since i started using the service, i havent even been able to get my site up in running cause of so many ftp problems (errors, timeouts, disconnects, flat out cant access it, slowness, etc.)

t35 seems good in theory, but its not doing me much good so far........... i hope the ftp is more stable when this upgrade is over so i can actually get something done and not sit here half the day battling with the ftp trying to upload stuff.

Ftp was only down a few minutes on the 14th.

It was then down a total of 8 hours on the 15th, and is now back up.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to use the service for the last 3 days?

As stated in this post, there was warning of this months in advance... and this is the best way to complete the upgrade without loosing any of the member files (in fact, this is the only way). We plan to complete all upgrades by the end of the day (at which time the file size limit will be increased, etc..).

To log into the FTP it is ftp.t35.com then yourname.t35.com and the pass you created when you registered, yes.
