Internet Explorer, Firefox, Lynx, Opera, Safari. My the joys of having to worry about making sure things work right in many different types of browsers. Luckily though I run them all off of one computer.

Internet Explorer - Use very seldom for websites that require active x. Hardly ever use it as it requires me to start up a Virtual Machine and I don't like doing that.

Firefox - Use pretty often but not full time.

Opera - Same as Firefox

Lynx - Use quite often. Using it right now actually. I don't care much for seeing images on websites and it saves me bandwidth for other things as I don't even allow it to get the data from img tags.

Safari - Again I have to boot up a VM for this so I don't use it very often. Use it only for checking to make sure things look okay after designing.

PS: Firefox is not the most secure browser around. For the windows machine, indeed it may be. However, for people like me, lynx is the most secure and fastest that you can get.

Firefox.  I'm still trying to learn programming for the other browsers.
Heck, I'm still trying to find time to learn how to tweak my programs for the other browsers.  grin

IE has so many issues, that I felt it wiser to wait until their latest release was finally done be truly debugged - its still too new.

Safari and Opera are ones I have to deal with next, as Mac users are still at a disadvantage on my site. Linux, I'm too clueless on yet.

Isn't lynx that Linux text based browser? I used to use that when I wanted to look cool... but of course.. you had to know people were going to mention FireFox. FireFox is the best browser I've ever run into. Anyone can download it and get used to it the first time they use it. It's amazing.. and if you're like me and you feel like getting into it a little more.. you can customize the CRAP out of it.. and that makes it 10 times more beautiful.

I wish I could just del IE... or make explorer.exe run off firefox.exe instead Tongue My ram usage would be ridiculous though...

I'm using IE.. Hard to get used to using others.. Also Firefox doesnt render web pages correctly.. Opera too.

And i use Opera Mini mobile browser. I use it much more frequently than desktop browsers. And im just using opera mini right now! Smiley
Very useful as it's full HTML browser and its free.
The reason I visit the forum so often is because i can surf on the internet 'anytime anywhere' with this. Cheesy

I mainly use Konqueror, which is the system and internet browser for the KDE Desktop Environment.
Non-nerds, read as a Linux browser.
And for a couple of sites, I use Epiphany (internet browser for the GNOME Desktop Environment)

I heard that the new version they're releasing with KDE 4.0 is available for Windows now. That would be incredible. x)

Sadly Konqueror is only available for Windows while using an emulator of the Gnome/KDE environment. Konqueror will install on a windows machine using cygwin/KDE-cygwin however, once getting all of that installed/set up the resources that it uses would out weigh the benefits of doing so. Also, last I heard the windows port of Konqueror was pretty much throw out the window.

Lynx is indeed the text based browser available on linux. Runs through a terminal and shows no fancy flash/images thus allowing sites to load faster and use less bandwidth.

Still pretty much using every browser architecture to make sure that all of my sites look the same throughout all browsers, it's a little easier these days though because most have switched over to using some form of the gecko engine to render.

I use Firefox.  It is easy to customize, has lots of features, and extensions.  It also seems to load pages faster than IE.

IE is okay; I like the new features that Microsoft has put, however it doesn't stand up to Firefox.  It lacks an easy extension system (it has add-ons, but they have to be "installed") and doesn't render pages correctly.

Opera is also a good web browser.  You can install extensions and themes, and it has a lot of features.  So Opera would be my second choice.

I only use Firefox since I have a personal grudge against Microsoft  smiley. I find its faster and more reliable than IE anyway plus you can work with lots of plugin and add-ons which IE restricts.

Bon Echo here, with IE 6 and IE7 and couple different versions of Firefox so I can test my sites in all different browsers. I like firefox because of all the add ons and such, but I enjoy IE for it's clensliness. IE feels more comfortable then FF, IMO.

I'm using aol, Internet Explorer 7, Opera and Firefox.  I like to make sure my site is OK in different browsers.  I don't know about anyone else but I find that some sites don't work so well in Opera.  It's sheer laziness that keeps me using it though as a general browser.  You don't have to remember your login information all the time as you can just click on the wand when you want to enter a site you're registered with.   smiley
