Do you use Software to edit your website or CMS (xoops, joomla, wordpress...)

Personnaly I've used Namo, Frontpage and Rapidweaver (Mac), but I prefer Joomla or Wordpress because they are flexible and the website can be edited wherever I go!

I recently tried out wordpress, automatically assuming it would be just like phpBB - overused and lack of features. I was in for a surprise. I have since fallen in love with wordpress and my custom skin, and have started making my own mods (plugins as the WP community calls them)

I use snewscms.com for quick website making. Snews cms utilizes xhtml/css templates ( you only put some tags inside and off you go ). It is SE friendly. Has sitemap, rss and you can php-it in any way you want. Did I say it is quick ? I had greatest success with this little cms. WP, joomla and similar ... NOT for me Cheesy

I really like pspad a lot for coding.  It's simple but it's free and it's a lot nicer than the old notebook way of coding.  I also use dreamweaver at times.  I just recently heard that microsoft has a program that is free to students and compatible with most other site builders called Expression Web, I haven't used it yet, but it would be interesting to see. A lot of great info above, I am going to check it all out.

Well I use php coding mainly. If I want to add something I just code it into php and use FTP for it.

I've used Dreamweaver, Flash, Nvu, Frontpage, Kompozer, and a few other applications. I mostly used Notepad+ for writing in programming languages like PHP.

I am not an expert webmaster, more of an amateur still in the process of learning, so I don't use anything sophisticated. I have used FrontPage, and it served my needs well. I hear good things about Wordpress, would you recommend to try it?

I'm a fan of Wordpress, mainly, but also work with Joomla, Ning, Geeklog, Vbulletin, and many other platforms, mostly open source, but I will pay for something if I need to (like Vbulletin).

I use dreamweaver at the moment, soon I will be learning to code myself. When that happens I will be using textedit (think that is right) and an ftp client along with photoshop elements. Nothing special, but fills all my needs.
