I have done all 6 things listed, but am having a hard time getting my site indexed.  I will never get a PR or any traffic if I never get my site indexed.  How do I expedite getting my site indexed?

I read your article as well as this article and followed it to a T but still no luck.

PR, traffic and indexing are 3 different things mate.  Be patient with indexing, or submit an article to digg or ezine or any social media site. To be indexed you need pages to link to you. Ask some other webmasters who are related to your niche and see if you can get link exchanges. Submit your site to directories, pay some money to be listed on sites with good traffic. Remeber that a lot of traffic is not as good as targetted traffic. No point in 1000 visitors with a 90% bounce rate.
Stick through it, don't give up, submit your website to every single thing you can submit too.

I know...  I have sites that are ranked, and sites that get plenty of traffic, and I have sites that seem like they were indexed within a few days.  So far, none of the 3 have happened for geauxwebdesigns.com

I'll stay at it.

Have you tried making a blog on blogger linking to your site? Make a simple blog named as your site is and then post a few things linking to your site. Since blogger is now operated by google it can possibly be quickly indexed due to that new link.
Fastest indexing I've ever got was a couple hours.

I've done digg.  Off to blogger.

BTW, my site is already linked 40+ times on relevant sites....  which makes me wonder why I haven't been indexed yet.

Everything takes time. Are you indexed on any other SE's?

All very good suggestions. However, there is a lot to be said for visiting other people's sites/blogs and leaving comments, especially if you target the high-trafficked ones.

Again, thanks for sharing these suggestions. Will check out the link.

I suggest promoting your website or business using sites such as Digg or StumbleUpon

Digg (http://digg.com): Digg is a social news site, where anyone can upload news or interesting things found on the internet. The posts are then voted up (Dugg) or voted down (buried). High ranking posts get more exposure, which can mean massive traffic to your site.

StumbleUpon (http://stumbleupon.com): StumbleUpon is a toolbar for IE and Firefox web browsers that lets users discover websites based on their interests. A user clicks the "Stumble" button, and is taken to a random website that matches interests that they specify. The user can then give the site a thumbs-up or a thumbs-down. The more thumbs-up ratings a site has, the more it is seen by other Stumblers.

I hope that these tips help you out!

Thats easier said than done, you can't just link to anyone, you have to link to sites which have loads of traffic to benefit from the link exchange. The first thing you should do is add your site to search engines manually, you always get the best results manually. Also its a good thing to create a sitemap and have it sent to google and yahoo daily, this will get your links indexed a lot quicker.

The main thing is patience, don't give in, it takes time!!

Great list. But, yeah, like some said... everything takes time to do well. You do your part, keep up with these six things, and over time you'll get the results you want.

Though, I agree, it can be frustrating to sit around waiting for your pagerank to go up.

Have you tried using Squidoo to hgelp with promoting your site. From what I understand you create what they call a lens, and you can basically sell yourself and your website to no end, with links to your site and blogs etc. It does seem very popular, but I do not have any first hand experience at it myself.

If you want the search engines to notice you superfast write articles of sites that they LOVE and link back to your site in it.  Some of these places are HubPages, Squidoo, Ezine Articles, etc.  Working this simple strategy can get you indexed in Days instead of months in many cases.

I think those tips are helpful but they're also repeated too much. The hard part with these tips is actually having the patience and time to write articles, create backlinks, and most importantly, having the money to purchase tools that can help you get traffic.
