Okay, so like, I've been paying for this sevice for about a year now (20 more days) and I've been hardly using it. I only use it to upload my pictures and be able to hotlink it. But now I can't even seem to do that anymore. I got a new domain and I think I added it, but then I'm not sure.

So to sum everything all up... can someone tell me how to:

[1] Add a new registered domain name (from GoDaddy.com)
[2] How to access FTP server from IE or Firefox browser

Thanks, I would look it up on my own, but I've tried for a while already, and yeah, I really have to study.

You should wait for confirmation from alex/bret on this but
-email them your account name/new domain
-set new domain name to ns1/ns2.t35.net

and for ftp simply type in ftp.yourdomain.com

I suggest using a ftp program (like smartftp) instead of firefox/IE since they are much slower in comparison. Also, Firefox cannot upload via ftp, it can only view files.

One make sure in godaddy that you have set the name servers to ns1.t35.net , ns2.t35.net (this may take up to 48 hours max to switch)
you'll add the domain in your cPanel  (sounded like you have done this)
The files that will go in this account, should be placed in a folder under your main account
**new domain with FTP**
If FTP isn’t made when the domain is set up just simply make a new ftp account pointing to the folder of the domain. (all new domains will use the main accounts address, example: account@1stdomain.com)

I hope this is clear and I hope this gets you going Wink

(PS I am working on some Flash Tutorials for T35 so you'll be taken step by step)

Thanks for the help so far people. Sorry for the late reply. Just finished some midterms yesterday. Anyways... I already changed the nameservers a long time ago. But I'm not exactly sure how to add the domain to cPanel. I think it's in, because I can add E-mail accounts to my new domain name. But just to be sure, can someone tell me how to add a domain using cPanel? I think I can make the ftp account on my own, once it shows up there and allows me to. For some reason, it's still only let me add ftp accounts to my old domain.

Thanks a lot!

in cPanel click,
Server
then on the left hand side click,
Addon domain

and the rest is listed on the page

All FTP accounts will use the main Domain

"Add Addon Domain
could not be modified because it does not resolve to a valid ip address. Please ask the system admin to check their resolv.conf and their dns trust relationship Ignore any messages of success this can only result in failure! thedork.net is already configured.

The add-on domain thedork.net could not be added."

Ugh, this is so confusing. How do I get rid of the original domain name that I had, it's already expired.

Vicky.. can you please send me an email with the exact problem, and your username/password, and i will personally get it set up for you.

P.S. To get rid of any addon/parked domain names, you need to click addon or parked in cpanel, find it in the drop down, and remove it.

To remove your main domain name, you need to contact our support (just email me), and specify what domain you want it changed to.

Thanks

Yeah, I know I'm like completely clueless. Things use to work out fine but now everything decided to not work. Can someone tell me what the default account name and password is? Is it the same ones as what I use to sign into cPanel with?

Yea, the Username and password that you login to cPanel with, will be the main username and password, also include in that email: The email address you signed up with...

.....
Send email to: amelen

Including:
--
Current Username and Password - with email account signed up with
--
And the request you would like performed
-- Example --
The old "main domain" --switch to-- the new domain you wish to be the new Main Domain (if desired)

Oh my bad, I totally forgot to mention this in my previous question: The default username and password is what I would use to log into my FTP account, right?
