Hosting assured and alerta are only showing 2 outages, and both were related to crucial security updates.

The past 7 days there has been no down time at all.. So i am not sure what you are talking about.. (that is also confirmed by alexa and another third party monitoring service).

On some occasions it's only the forum that goes down. Like when I access t35.net on these downtimes, the index page is fine but the forums are down. My site is run completely on the forum so affects it greatly.

It happened early this morning 1.15am GMT time, both sites:

Quote
We can't find "http://www.hullbikers.com/"
               - Cannot Find Server - The web site you typed in could not be found on the internet.

Please try the following:

If you have a network firewall installed, please make sure your firewall is not preventing Avant Browser from accessing Internet.

Please make sure your computer is connected to internet.

If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Bit of a strange coincidence if both this and my own site aren't working at the same time whereas other sites are?

Cam, I have a record of up time from my server here at my place and the server has only gone down three this week.(max, hour each) no more

One I know was that the server was being moved and it took a little longer for them to move it.

there are the occasional restarts to keep the server happy, like 3 min maxx, i think that happend this morning

Occasional downtime without notice prior to it is most likely an apache restart, since Apache tends to slow down after a certain amount of time.

Actually its not a coincidence, both our site and your site is on the same DNS block... a small issue like a DNS routing problem, either with your ISP, or somewhere along the way to our server could have caused the problem. Believe it or not, when you connect to a website from your computer/ISP you go through around 5-6 other isp's and around 12-14 routers. Both of our third party up time checking services showed no down time, and each checks from 5 locations... so chances are it was a routing problem at your ISP or somewhere along the way.
