Aloha,

I've been getting the following error message when I try to send emails lately:

"The server responded: 421 Too many concurrent SMTP connections; please try again later"

It doesn't happen all the time and after a few more attempts to send mail, it eventually goes through, but I was wondering what is going on with this?

Thats usually when there some kind of attack on the network.. it shouldn't happen too often.. if i remember correctly we only had 10 or so attacks that would cause that in January. In most of the cases, it should let you send it within a minute or two (once the automatic DDOS preventions initiailize)>

Yeah, I've noticed it doesn't happen very often and it generally tends to happen in the late evening (I'm guessing around midnight-3am pacific time).

It should stop occuring all together very soon.. we are working on software that would initialize anti-DDOS measures in a few seconds instead of the current 60-120 seconds.
