With respect, it does to me (though I'm willing to be proved wrong).
Sequence of events:
- 2 identical databases exist on your server, each one with its own page/script with identical code, both scripts/databases work file and have done for months
- Server goes down
- User finds that hardly any of his domains/sub-domains are working
- After the domains are sorted out the only thing that is still not working is this script with this database while the identical script/database pairing is working fine
- User suspects that the db is broken so deletes it (loosing all his data though that isn't a big deal really) and reinstates a fresh database from an export of the identical working database
- Database still isn't working
This is taking a long time to sort out, we're looking at about a month all told (including the downtime itself). This is partly my fault but I am having to work out of internet cafe's in thailand as I'm on holiday and have been throughout the duration of this problem. I'm getting lots of hassle off the people who this web site represents.
Anyway, you're always very helpful, hopefuly we can get to the bottom of this soon.
