I've been getting an error message in Thunderbird when I goto send an email:

An error occurred sending mail: The mail server sent an incorrect greeting: Too many concurrent SMTP connections; please try again later...

I usually have to wait quite a awhile before being able to send it

And it was working fine in outlook? I just tested both outlook and thunderbird and both work fine.. so I am thinking it might be something in your settings?

I don't use Outlook. Are there any special settings for IMAP?

We will be upgrading the mail server in the next few days.. hopefully that will fix the issue. But in general, there should be special settings that would help fix this problem on your end (like timeout settings).

My timeout settings are set to 120sec. I tried to send a message this morning and got the error as soon as I hit the send button. I'm not sure what else I could be doing wrong. I am using the IMAP address mail.udz.cc, I have 5 seperate IMAP accounts. But the error seems to be related to sending only.

Can you try sending via pop? I had no problem using both IMAP and pop on your account... so its hard for me to troubleshoot the error.

Yah, I have the latest version of Thunderbird. I don't know what is going on. Yesterday, I sent a couple emails no problem. Today, I am getting the same message.

SMTP Server: mail.udz.cc
Port: 25
Use name and password: josh.barrett@udz.cc
No secure connection

just an update. i am still having issues using Thunderbird. I have switched to GMail, they allow sending from my udz.cc account. I'm not sure if the problem is on my end or yours. Thanks for your support!
