I'm very happy with the free hosting, it's a great service, but i'm missing the paid service advances.
Im studying at a multimedia school in the netherlands, and i'd love to get an mySQL db to play around with. I'm seriously thinking to go paid with t35, but i don't know if that's smart, because i'm located in the netherlands, and i'm only 17. Would my age and location be a problem with paying?? And don't you think i simply should choose a host in the netherlands? thanks for reading.

As long as you have a credit card, it shouldn't make a difference. From what I understand, hosts in europe are more expensive.. and unless you are making a very load intensive site with tens of thousands of daily visitors, you shouldn't notice a difference in load time/performance.

about the prices, dutch hosts are much cheaper than average, but it's hard to find one with even half the services American hosts often offer (based on my friends experience.... I will have to dicuss the problem with the creditcard with my parents..

Thats strange.. I thought european hosts that had pay several taxes that we don't (making them more expensive). Hmm..

yes, they are hosted in Amsterdam.. but i didn't notice the prices showed are without the taxes; that would make it 2.50+19%= €3.00

Yeh.. thats what i was saying before.. Europe has to pay 19-25% in taxes while the US doesn't.. making our prices cheaper.

We don't do custom plans under $50/month.

Once you create the account, I can upgrade your space by 100-200mb for free (depending what the avaliability is at that time).
