1  T35 Hosting Support / Free Hosting General Support / Two issues.. on: February 23, 2005, 09:41:54 PM
I've gotten the fish tank one and I couldn't close it either.

I have found that if you can't close the ad, reloading the page will make it go away.

That makes a lot more sense, thank you.

I completely understand that you need ads to support the free service, but...

When I load my page I get a big, sometimes animated, flash ad on top of the page, and there's no way to close it or make it go away. It's not a terribly big annoyance for me because I can just zap it with Mozilla or Firefox, but what about Internet Exploder users?

This is the first flash ad I've ever seen anywhere that didn't have a close button on it.

I just tried again and got a different error:

"Unable to connect to FTP server ftp.t35.com on port 21.

Are you sure this is the address of the FTP server? This is often different from that of the HTTP (web) server. Please contact your ISP helpdesk or system administrator for help."

Do you remember if you signed up with CAPs? Also have you tried to login to your free CP at http://www.t35.net/memarea

I am positive that I signed up in lowercase.

I was able to log in to the CP just now, but the FTP is still giving me this error: "Unable to login to FTP server ftp.t35.com with username chickengirl.

Are you sure your username and password are correct? Please contact your ISP helpdesk or system administrator for help."

I just registered earlier today and it said it might take a while for my FTP login to work, but it's been a few hours and it's still not working. Is this a problem, or do I just need to be patient?  tongue
