Netridge has the right of it there. But spammers are very persistent and clever, I don't know how they do it but I get spam once in a while in email boxes I almost never use. I guess it depends on the sites you sign up for though.

General / General and Business Discussion / Re: What software do you use to build up your website?

I really like pspad a lot for coding. It's simple but it's free and it's a lot nicer than the old notebook way of coding. I also use dreamweaver at times. I just recently heard that microsoft has a program that is free to students and compatible with most other site builders called Expression Web, I haven't used it yet, but it would be interesting to see. A lot of great info above, I am going to check it all out.

General / General and Business Discussion / Re: Anyone returned to XP?

I didn't want to use XP when it came out. But it was all the came with the computer I bought a few years ago. I like it now. I think the main problem with Vista is that they didn't work out a lot of the bugs before going live, and like mentioned above it isn't compatible with a lot of stuff. From what my friends have Vista would be great had it been all sorted first. I just get sick of them changing everything completely every couple of years. I wish they would leave things a little similar at least.

General / General and Business Discussion / Re: Do You Promote Your Website Offline?...

Honestly I haven't spent a whole lot of time in promotion. I have a link on my paper information and on my email. I did sign up for the google web master account thing that puts you in their web crawler. A few years ago we spent some money on another site trying to promote, and with a lot of work our page finally it into the top ten of most crawlers, but we weren't getting any orders through the website. It was still all coming from ebay. So it just didn't seem worth it to me. I have it now simply for people who want more information.

I agree with Danial. The reason I go to most forums is only to find answers to trouble I run into with projects. Most of the time I don't even bother to look and see if there are problems I can answer. So if no one is answering the people who have questions they would leave. Maybe a points program or incentive to answer(ers)
