1  Revenue & Traffic / Search Engine Optimization / Re: Page Strength on: July 24, 2008, 07:21:16 PM
My strength is 7/10 as well, so I'm pretty happy with that.
2  Revenue & Traffic / Search Engine Optimization / Re: Are any of you proud of your Ranks in google? on: July 24, 2008, 07:19:33 PM
I've actually just been a PR 3 since the first update after I started my site, but I'm quite content with that. I get lots of traffic and I'm in the top 10 for several keywords so that's good for me.
3  Revenue & Traffic / Search Engine Optimization / Re: How much does PR effect your search engine rank? on: July 24, 2008, 07:18:30 PM
Yeah, it's really not about the PR. It's more important to have the right keywords and such than to have a specific PR.
4  Revenue & Traffic / Search Engine Optimization / Re: "Keyword Dense" - The Difference? on: July 24, 2008, 07:17:05 PM
I don't know about specific percentages, but no, not everyone is aware that they should be keyword dense anyway, so that's why they specify.
5  Web Design & Developement / Useful Resources / Re: List of photoshop tutorial sites. on: July 24, 2008, 07:15:10 PM
Wow, there are a lot of them. Personally, I just go to YouTube if I'm looking for a certain technique that I don't already know.
6  Web Design & Developement / Useful Resources / Re: How many Pages has google indexed on your site??? on: July 24, 2008, 07:14:30 PM
The main pages on my are indexed. I add new ones from time to time so those aren't all necessarily indexed yet.
7  Web Design & Developement / Graphic Design / Re: When is it too much? on: July 24, 2008, 07:13:13 PM
I think a few graphics are necessary so a page doesn't look plain and dull, but more than a "few" is far too many. No one wants a page to take forever to load nor do they care to just look at graphics usually unless it's a site specifically for images.
8  Web Design & Developement / Graphic Design / Re: Do you design the graphics for your site? on: July 24, 2008, 07:12:10 PM
Yes, I do all the graphic design for my site. I use Photoshop on a regular basis so it comes natural for me to work my own graphics. Maybe someone else could do them better, but I enjoy what I do and it's free besides my time, so it works for me.
9  General / General and Business Discussion / Re: Anyone returned to XP? on: July 24, 2008, 07:09:23 PM
I bought a new laptop that had Vista on it and I thought I was going to hate it. In reality, it's not that bad, though, so I didn't bother changing it over to XP.
10  General / General and Business Discussion / Re: Do You Promote Your Website Offline?... on: July 24, 2008, 07:08:18 PM
For my website, offline promotion didn't do a whole lot of good, but I helped with another where offline promotion was crucial. It was for an education website and we used fliers along with business cards, which brought in quite a bit of traffic and regular users over time.
