1  Web Design & Developement / Programming / Re: uploader.php help? on: May 01, 2008, 03:49:06 AM
First, search for instructions on that script. If you want to make a service like that site, it's probably wise to look it up first, so you'll know what your doing. Just go to a search engine, and type what you looking for, am sure there are tutorials on it. I hope that helps.
2  Web Design & Developement / Graphic Design / Do you design the graphics for your site? on: May 01, 2008, 03:46:56 AM
I was curious, whether any of you who own a website or a forum, design everything for their site? Or do you hire someone to do it? For me, I choose to design everything as it's a great part of who I am, plus it's something I enjoy. What about you? Do you find it hard if you do? Or is it more than fun, and you just give it your best shot?
3  Market Place / Site Promotion / Re: Paid Forums ~ Get Paid To Chat Online on: May 01, 2008, 03:44:23 AM
Is it really that easy? How much do you get paid to post? Does it take quite a while to gain some income? As I noticed with mylot it did, and I gave up. I also noticed people posting anything just for the money, so that is where it put me off on that site, as people weren't genuinely sharing something.
4  Web Design & Developement / Web Design / HTML / Re: How do u put php on site? on: May 01, 2008, 03:42:24 AM
Can I just ask what you mean by the question? Put php on your site in what sense? Change it from html for instances?

I'm starting to get into SMF, though I think am more inclined to Vbulletin all time round though I've never used it. I think it's for the simple fact, that you can do so much with it and it offers so many features and there isn't clashes with the sofware as there is a few on SMF I have found out.
6  General / General and Business Discussion / Re: Do You Promote Your Website Offline?... on: May 01, 2008, 03:39:14 AM
No not yet. I have heard of people advertising their website on National Newspapers and putting leaflets on notice boards, which sounds like a good idea. May test that one day, and see how it goes. I think every little helps.
7  General / General and Business Discussion / Re: Anyone returned to XP? on: May 01, 2008, 03:38:03 AM
I don't see anything ingenious in Vista. It's pretty much the same as XP. I think it also depends how much you get used to it, and whether you let it affect you or not. You can start to think it's rubbish, just because you have heard it, and than you'll have a not so good experience with it. But if you push that aside, and just see it as another operating system software you will see it's really not that bad, minus all the features.
8  General / General and Business Discussion / Re: What software do you use to build up your website? on: May 01, 2008, 03:36:25 AM
Well I use php coding mainly. If I want to add something I just code it into php and use FTP for it.
9  General / Web Hosting Blog / Re: Is Fantastico for cPanel becoming obsolete? on: May 01, 2008, 03:34:54 AM
I think it depends a lot on the user. I did test it out, when I brought some host space, but soon found out that it wasn't very good on the software terms as it had old software for SMF, the forum software I use. So, I decided to manually install it myself on the public_html. I think all round it's easier to manually install everything this way. So, from that perspective I would say I don't use it anymore, as I manually upload everything now.
10  Revenue & Traffic / Search Engine Optimization / Re: Page Strength on: May 01, 2008, 03:31:58 AM
Is this site really that accurate? Would you say, this is the best checker you have found among your SEO travels?

I received 2.5/10 which is understandable. This does help, as it has a list of search engines which to add my url too. Thanks for that.
