I tried installing this script Feed2JS at http://www.udz.cc/feed and when I goto preview or generate the javascript I receive a 500 error. I have  installed this script before and I do not know what I am doing differently/wrong. The script seems to be set up correctly.

I would check permissions. That's often times the biggest cause of a 500 code. Also check the error logs as they'll often times have info as to why the 500 code was generated.

okay, I am throughly aggravated now. I am pretty sure I checked all the permissions. The script worked fine before that "hacker event" where they replaced all the index files. I then reinstalled the script. The error log in cPanel is not being too helpful and the error_log in Feed2JS doesn't say anything.

any other advice?

well, now you seem to be getting a 404 error: document not found. The page was there before, but i imagine you took it down.

Anyways, a 500 error could be anything.
you could try putting simple debug statements in your code. I don't know what the Feed2JS code looks like, but just put simple statements to print out "Made it here" or something similar at key places in the code. This will help to pinpoint were your problem lies.

Thanks, I will look into it some more. I reuploaded evyerthing and changed the directory to /feed2js. If you click 'preview feed" without anything the Feed URL box, then you get a Feed2JS error. If you put an RSS address in there you get the 500 error.

It's great! ;-)
