you'll need to add a database and user name in cPanel - login to cpanel and go to ::server:: then go to ::MySQL:: and the rest is listed if you need more help let me know

I have a free account, it's possible to install a phpbb forum?

i've uploaded all the files and try to install it, but i receive a critical error from the phpbb system, wich says it can't connect to the database...

thanks for your patience... grin

you cant do that on free accounts, no mySQL ... but you could always sign up for a free sql account somewhere and link to that account in your code (ps, ive never tried this, but its truly amazing what you learn by reading through posts on the forum - i suggest everyone tries it  rolleyes)

I have tried to install phpbb but seems like i need to install mysql or sql database in my account. Well because i am using a free account, i dont think i would get a free sql too from t35.com. But perhaps if its possible i could install phpmyadmin in my account. Because when i tried to install the phpmyadmin which could make my account has a database in it it has an error which are : "could not connect through socket".

So if someone could give me a hand it will be a great thanks from me.

Thanks for reading my post.
