Backlinks are the links that are directed towards our website.And it Also knows as Inbound links The number of backlinks is an indication of the popularity  of our website.

Backlinks are very  important for SEO because some search engines, especially Google, will give more credit to our websites that have a good number of quality backlinks, and consider those websites more relevant than others in their results pages for a search query.

In simple words,getting links from other sites to your site is know as backlink. It is also know as incoming links, inbound links, inlinks.

If page A links to page B then a back link would be a link which goes from page B back to page A. Backlinks enable you to keep track of other pages on the web that link to your posts. For example let’s consider you find an interesting article on web and you require the article to be displayed on your website hence you link the article to your website.
