When people advertise for web content articles they often ask for someone to write, "keyword dense" articles. I've always kind of assumed that anyone writing for the web will just kind of automatically know to write "keyword dense" articles.

When people say "keyword dense" do they mean super-loading the article - and at what point does that go from being just "keyword dense" to being kind of spammy? Are there percentages involved with "dense"?

I would like to say Keyword Density is depending on your content length. It will be fine if you are using your primary key word in per paragraph at most one time and using also your subsidiary keyword. There is specific measure for keyword density.

Having keywords on your website is important as it is a factor that determines what search terms you'll rank for, but be careful. Do not stuff or overpopulate your site with keywords or you will be penalized from Google and taken out of the index.

If in doubt, just stick to whitehat SEO and your content. Content is king!

Keyword density is not very important as of today, since it is easily manipulated (an onpage factor).

the best way to use keyword density is to use your main keyword once in your intro paragraph and one in conclusion and twice in your content depending on the length as john.lewis has said. But to rank higher in search engines you must no only use your main keyword but also 10-20 relevant keywords. This is advise the search engines 1. your not spamming 2. you will be getting more targeted visitors.

I don't know about specific percentages, but no, not everyone is aware that they should be keyword dense anyway, so that's why they specify.
