Hello there,

I own a domain csmia.com (currently hosting at my friend webspace)
I am curious if it can potentially be valuable.

What do you think about this domain? What kind of sites are suitable for this domain name? Can you imagine how much it will be worth in 3 or 4 years time from now?

Thanks,

I'm no expert or anything, but it doesn't seem very valuable to me. Those letters don't have any particular significance or remind me of anything in particular. So the address wouldn't be a very good descriptor for the website that it is linked with.

It somewhat makes me think of Computer Science of MIAmi, but that doesn't really make much sense.

If was only 4 letters (A  LLLL.com; four letter domain) there is only less then 10,000 of those left. It might be worth something. But it has 5 letters.

From a domain valuation site:

Domain csmia.com
Keywords  (Autodetected) csmia
Frequency (MSN) 2890
Backlinks 0
Alexa Rank 0
Traffic (uniques) / Day N/A
PPC Ads Score 0
Exact searches/mo 0

Valuation : USD 70

It also seems like you already have the domain listed for sale for $3,000 at SEDO:

http://www.sedo.com/search/details.php4?domain=csmia.com

In my opinion that's a little high. I would set the BIN at around $200-300 max.

Hi Bunsann   smiley

Though your site might not currently amount to much for you, I'd say if you did some work on it over a couple of months or so, it might be worth more. Good luck.

Hi Amelen  smiley

I was just wondering what domain valuation site you used.

take care, y'all.

As per the quest of 3-4  years.. it will surely make some more $$ for you. coz when LLLL.com will be finished it will make some sense and LLLLL.com will be the priority Smiley

Personally i wouldn't buy it, but I'm no domain expert. In a few years the price will propably go up as less and less 5 letter domains are avalable. Spend some time designing it, and maybe in a few years you will get lucky Wink

best of luck

It's a short domain, but not short enough to be very valuable without a name that's simple to understand. If a company or organization has those same letters as abreviation, it might turn out expensive, but other than that it's not worth more than any other domain names.

You might want to get a domain name appraisal that could help you get better pricing, if you want to sell it I recommend sedo.com. Short domain like that may be worth a few bucks.

You can determine the value of your domain on the following factors:
- Age of Domain ?
- Google PageRank ?
- Site History ?
- Meaning/Dictionary Definition ?

I'd have to appraise it, not knowing any of the above information, to $0 to registration fee sorry.

It probably isn't worth much now.
