What safety major you kept in mind while purchasing helmet?

If I purchase a helmet than I follow these thing which are mention below:

1. Right Size
2. Dot approved
3. Full Face helmet etc.
I want to know your opinion or tips about this post,Please share your information........

A safety helmet is a form of protective gear worn on the head to protect it from injuries. Ceremonial or symbolic safety helmets without protective function are sometimes used. The oldest known use of helmets was by Assyrian soldiers, who wore thick leather or bronze helmets to protect the head from blunt object and sword blows and arrow strikes in combat. Soldiers still wear helmets, now often made from lightweight plastic materials.
