I'm trying to learn more and more about HTML each day. I've heard that it's good to know it...as it will help not just with website design -- but with online marketing as a whole. What is the quickest way that I can learn a solid amount of HTML with getting a headache? Thanks.

W3Schools are a very good starting point for you to learn HTML or any other website development languages which may enrich your website

In my opinion, if you can spare around $30 you can purchase a nice thick book on HTML from your local bookstore.
I learned HTML, PHP and MySQL from a book.

I personally learned by just googling everything. "coding a simple page" would be a good start.

w3schools.com is an excellent place to learn html and it is extremely popular. It starts with basic lessons, then advanced, and you can quiz yourself to see your progress.
To go to the HTML lessons go to

I've learned to do html by doing things in chat rooms like a set of tag lines for example.

thats a bit of html that goes into a chat room rather awesome when I first discovered it when I was young.Otherwise I think google or yahoo searching has a lot of answers if you don't want to buy anything.
