I'm trying to learn more and more about HTML each day.  I've heard that it's good to know it...as it will help not just with website design -- but with online marketing as a whole.  What is the quickest way that I can learn a solid amount of HTML with getting a headache?  Thanks.

In my opinion, if you can spare around $30 you can purchase a nice thick book on HTML from your local bookstore.

I learned HTML, PHP and MySQL from a book. Smiley

w3schools.com is an excellent place to learn html and it is extremely popular. It starts with basic lessons, then advanced, and you can quiz yourself to see your progress.

I've learned to do html by doing things in chat rooms like a set of tag lines for example.

thats a bit of html that goes into a chat room rather awesome when I first discovered it when I was young.Otherwise I think google or yahoo searching has a lot of answers if you don't want to buy anything.

I also learned HTML a few years ago by buying myself a book and just reading it. I took my time though so it took me an entire summer, but I think that was a good way to go. I'm now teaching myself CSS using that same method. Though honestly, the best way to learn HTML is to just practice it. After my summer long reading, I went ahead and coded two websites from scratch, and now I'm working on a third for my office.

The best option for learning HTML in an easy manner is to download e-books about HTML programming in torrents. Torrents really have great combination of them and  are really useful.

I used W3Schools a lot when I was first learning about how html worked.  When I needed to find out how to code something specific, I'd just google the name and come up with more than a dozen websites explaining how that certain code had to be done.

I'm far from being an expert on html, but there are so many websites out there that I constantly use whenever I forget how to make something work for my website.  Since HTML is the main language I use for my own websites, it's important for me to look back on these websites ever once in a while for direction.

Oh, and go to your local library!  There are plenty of books out there that you can borrow!

I would definitely recommend W3Schools. It's packed with a lot of content you need for your site. Remember, websites are now integrating a lot more things than just HTML, for example, CSS, so be sure you learn at least that as well (W3Schools has a guide on CSS too!)

This is where I learned and where I'm still learning.  A fantastic site that I'm very happy I found.  It starts at a very basic beginner level, gives code examples, what the code should turn into, and it's great to move at your own pace.

well quick is not really available when learning a language. Like below i reccomend w3schools, but if you search in google free html learning or something, you will find many sites. W3schools is best though. HTML is basically a teach yourself language though, so you will have to figure out how it fits your needs.

Yes you would be best of trying a google search also try, and search for

that would be the best on the net, as each week they email you with the lesson saves you reading pages and pages at the start. It easier that way when they email you.
And it goes for a 11 weeks so it really detail.

I taught my self how to use basic html with a little google'ing. there are a bunch of tutorials online that you'd be able to find!
