It will show up differently on different browsers because browsers have their own rules as to how to read code.
I've noticed the "cell spacing = o" is not apart of your code. I commonly see this right after the "cell padding = o". With any luck this may fix the problem.

If not, then do a search for how IE reads html/css code. I could not find in my books that I have with any more information on the above problem. html bible I left at home, so only had the xml bible and other html books. Hope this works.
