In the form on my site, I wrote mailto:wdanielek in the action attribute and post in the method attribute but when I submit, it asks the user to write the webmaster (me) an       e-mail instead of automatically mailing me the results, and this is not supposed to happen. huh

You would probably need some kind of form/submit php script to accomplish what you are trying to do. The 'mailto:' just opens the mail program for your users with your email address in the 'to' field.

"mailto" incites the web browser to open up the email client (Microsoft outlook|Mozilla Thunderbird for example).

It would be wise to have a script as mentioned by ragtek or code one. It will have the exact parameters, so all the required information will be compiled and emailed to you.
