My web host used to be brilliant at resolving any problems.  I always had a reply within an hour if things went wrong.  I know this is super fast but the last few times I've had to report a problem it's taken days rather than hours to get an answer.   I was just wondering what the customer service is like with other web hosts.  I've been with the same host ever since I started my site in 2003.

We try to answer critical tickets within 4 hours and non-time-sensitive tickets within 12-24 hours. I personally also check these forums several times a day Smiley

As far as other web hosts go, the industry trend has been to move towards low-cost solutions which in turn has severely impacted the quality of customer service.

4-16 hours is something honorable for any kind of email support. Anyway, we are only looking for something that is honorable, every professional support that takes more than 16-24 simply sucks.

I would say a response within 4 hours is reasonable with a resolution within 24 hours Cheesy.

Thanks

Hi Trisha

I'm with BlueHost and they have livechat. They've been available at the times that I've tried, though when they're busy, I have to wait for a couple of minutes before someone becomes available. However, they do let you know if an assistant is handling more than one chat at the same time.

First of all something I look for in a hosting company is how quickly they respond to an email prior to becoming a customer. If they take days then I just assume all of their service will be this way. I think that if they cannot get back with you same day that is a problem. But I have had servers who call all the customers to let them know there are issues. They are big companies as well.
