Hello,

I'm a musician and I just created an account hoping to offer some MP3s for download.  I was disappointed to find the 512kb maximum.  Especially given that I had read "unlimited free web hosting".  Most of my songs are 5-10mb in MP3 form.  Is there anyway for me to upload these files with T35?  If not, does anyone know of a free hosting service without such restrictions?

Thanks,

You can always upgrade to paid hosting, that offers no file size restrictions.

The file size cap is in place to prevent bandwidth abuse, by exactly what you tend to do. People used to hotlink large files from our servers, and so we implemented the cap. Just be glad its 512kb, as it used to be 256kb.

And, every free webhost has some sort of file size cap.

But what you can do, is maybe signup for an account at FileFront and hotlink your music to your website here from FileFront.

Brilliant!  Thank you very much.

Just out of curiosity - if I were to get a paid account with t35, how would I go about securing a url?  Would that be expensive?

You can even buy domains at cheaper rates.
GoDaddy is the greatest that's the catch about.

You can go for NetFirms >> $5.95 or name.com >> $5.99 for 1st year.
You can also get at approx $7.5 at many more registrars.

Thanks
