Hello all of you! I am here to inquire about some things which I am pretty sure that you all have an idea about. This is all about the role of link building on the website that I have created. This website which is still on my planning table is scheduled to be launched several days from now and I want it to be really prepared for online existence. Now, how do I start with link building for it? What is the number of links that I should be targeting? Please share with me what you know on this matter? I will appreciate it greatly if all of you will comment on this thread or give me good pieces of advice and appropriate suggestions.

Careful! All links built up before or immediately after (I would say 1 month) publishing the website are practically invalid. That's because Google considers it unnatural for so many links to spring up in a short space of time, and it's logical, when you think about it. If your website cannot be found on the web, no "natural links" will exist, so all links created before or immediately after creation are seen as not natural links. If you have a link building strategy, start slowly.
