I am wondering what the average users will think of: style, colors, site speed, layout - www.freemysql.net, I am open to any ideas...

Pros
+ Hah, I love the colors. Complimentary color scheme!
+ The design/layout is well thought out.
+ The repetition of curves creates unity in your page.
+ Great content! I definatly know what your site's about.

Cons
- You know the green in the navi bar on top? It doesn't line up to the left of "Home."
- Instead of GREEN in the navi bar, could you use orange or blue? The green takes away from the color scheme.
- The "Quality Hosting" and "Resources" links aren't working (I'm assuming you're still in the editing process)
- Add a little space on top and below "Reliable, Free MySQL Hosting" (under the penguin). It's too tight!
- I'm wondering if you are planning on using different links for the top navi bar? It seems pointless to have them going to the same site wink
- Try going a little lighter on the outter glow for your banner.
- Obviously the ads. Can't really avoid them though.
- Also with the banner, if you want to use that font try to use it throughout the site. It sticks out in a BAD way when it doesn't flow.

Overall I think you have a GREAT start! Try to impliment some of my suggestions and you'll be set grin
