For the most part it looks rather good to me as well, and it didn't take much time to load on my computer (I'm also in the US). I only looked at the home page of the English version and the only critiques I have are about the text. First, in the banner maybe a different font could be put to better use there because the title doesn't seem to fit right. Also the white border around the subtitle makes it look a bit choppy, perhaps if the subtitle were just all white, like the title? However, those are mostly graphic concerns. The second issue is with the color of the text links on the English homepage. Bright blue on a white background can be a bit harsh on the eye sometimes. Plus there is very little blue anywhere else in the layout so it clashes somewhat. Perhaps if they were changed to a dark green that matched the left side of the banner?
